Yay!

I finally get to see my friends! I have not seen my Canadian friends in a year and I finally get to see them tomorrow! (well at least some of them) I was going absolutely crazy at home with my family. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but after awhile you just need your friends.

I plan to keep busy from now on too! I've been pretty good about it, except for a few days when I was really tired and just stayed in the house and watched movies and played video games. I've actually kept busy doing some crafts. I've been making a lot of jewelry out of this kit thing my mom has. I've made like 15 earrings...some of which will be Christmas presents. I'm actually pretty proud of them! They don't look half bad. I've also been making these friendship bracelet things out of colored string. There are like a billion different designs you can do, and a lot of them are really cool.

I also had to find a song and 4 monologues for a theatre class I'm taking in the winter. The monologues have to be a contemporary comedic and dramatic piece and a classical comedic and dramatic piece. I've found my contemporary ones, but the problem with classical monologues is that I don't really understand them when I'm just reading them, so I'm going to have to do a bit of research before I decide. I have found my song though. It's Meadowlark from The Baker's Wife. It's such a pretty song, I hope I do it justice.

I'm getting really excited for this next quarter. I'm already social head of my house and taking 3 classes I'm really excited about, while I'm also auditioning for the One Acts and Les Mis as well as applying to be an R.A. So if everything goes as planned then this is going to be a very busy but exciting quarter! I also have an awesome room with two awesome girls, so I'm really excited for that as well. I can't wait!

Side note

Ok so I forgot to write this in my last post. My family came home and ate all my amazing nanaimo bars! So I guess I just have to make some more. This time I should do 2 batches, because they just go so fast since they are so amazing. Yay nanaimo bars!

Family together again

My whole family is finally back together in Canada! That hasn't happened in a year! (Which is really my fault because the rest of them have been home in way less then a year) We haven't done anything all together yet cause my mom takes two days to "adjust", but hopefully we will tomorrow. Me, my mom and my brother want to the The Princess and the Frog, but my dad doesn't want to see it, so we'll see what happens. Church is probably our best option.

So I've been looking for a new perfume because the one I have been using for years (Daisy by Marc Jacobs) costs a lot of money, I'm getting kinda tired of it, and SOMEONE says they aren't even sure if they like it. So today when my dad, my brother and I went shopping, I stopped at Body Shop and bought this Vanilla Body Mist stuff that smells AMAZING. And it was only like $14, which is WAY cheaper then Daisy is. I definitely like it, so hopefully a certain someone will as well.

I get to see my Canadian friends soon! They are all still in exams, but as soon as they are done, it is on. I haven't seen them in a year, which is way too long. I miss them and need to catch up with them because I suck at staying in touch. Yay!

NANAIMO BARS!!!

So I just made nanaimo bars and they are the flipping best dessert in the world. Seriously, anyone in the U.S. who has never had one before, you are really missing out. I made them before for Paul for our 1 year anniversary and they were alright, but I just made them again and they are AMAZING. So proud of myself. So if anyone at Prin ever wants to try some, talk to me and I can hook you up. They are very filling though, which I guess in a way is good because it stops me from eating too many. Guylian chocolates on the other hand...I could eat a whole box in a day. Which is bad because they cost like 6 or 7 dollars a box. But dear god are they good. My far my favorite chocolates in the world.

So when I went shopping with my dad I bought some Burt's Bees because I ran out. But they didn't have the normal kind, so I bought the honey Burt's Bees. It flipping smells like baby powder, so I don't like wearing it because then I smell baby powder all day since my mouth is right under my nose. (Which you probably already knew) And let me tell you, after awhile, baby powder does not smell that good. So that was a waste of my dad's money. Sorry dad!

Colorado

So I just came back from visiting Paul in Colorado a few days ago. I had never been to Colorado before and it is beautiful! He lives on a actual mountain in Breckinridge, which is awesome, but also VERY high, so I had to get used to the elevation change. I didn't take any pictures while I was on top of the mountain, (which I'm sort of mad about) but I did take a few pictures while Paul was driving me to Denver to fly home to Canada. They aren't the best pictures ever because I took then in a moving car, but here they are anyways.
This is a bit blurry, but it's a waterfall that has been frozen. It's really cool.

I was trying to get Paul to smile, but he just wanted to be a goof instead.

Chilling in Canada with my dad

So I'm home in Canada and it's really late and I'm not tired at all. I'm actually doing more stuff here then I was when I was in St Louis, probably because I'm with my dad here, who is actually willing to drive me places, unlike my mom. My dad is always up for going for a drive and is always asking me what I want to do, so I feel more motivated to do things. Even though I am working on trying to motivate myself more.

So today I started to learn how to drive a stick-shift! I was a bit scared, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There is so much to remember though! So there is going to be a lot more practicing to come. Me and my dad were driving around this empty parking lot, and after about a half an hour he says "Ok, just one more round and then we'll leave because all of this jerking around is making me have to go to the bathroom." Haha, oh dad, how you make me laugh.

Also, last night was the finale of Glee! I won't give anything away just in case, but I was freaking out the whole time. Puck annoys me so much, I just want to punch him in the face. And Paul hates Rachael, but I can't help liking her because she has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard. Seriously, I would do anything to be as good as her. I am also spending all of my money on iTunes buying the Glee songs right after each episode. I've probably spent around $50 on the songs, but I don't regret it at all because I pretty much listen to them every single day.

Last night my dad and I also watched Julie and Julia, which was SO much better then I thought it would be. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but it was hilarious! Amy Adams did look sort of butch though, which was unfortunate. A lot of people say I look like her, but they said that when she was in Enchanted and dressed up as a princess and looked pretty. Hopefully I don't look like her in this movie where she's butch. Meryl Streep is amazing in this movie She is hilarious! She had the funniest accent ever, (which I assume is Julia Child's accent, who I know nothing about) and I would literally laugh everytime she talked, which was a lot. I feel bad for Julia Child's husband though, because even though her accent is funny, I couldn't imagine having to live with it 24/7, it would absolutely drive me crazy after awhile. Sort of like Janice from Friends, but not quite as annoying. So if you haven't seen this movie see it, because both me and my dad loved and and we have very different tastes in movies.
